CARTIER - A Tank MC
Cartier, once famous for being one of the biggest watch manufacturers to not make mechanical movements in-house, sent shockwaves through the industry in 2008 with its first Geneva Seal watch. It then quickly followed that up in 2010 with the Caliber MC 1904, Cartier's first in-house automatic movement. The caliber number is significant, referring to the year that Louis Cartier created the first Cartier watch for men.
This Cartier Tank MC wristwatch is in wonderful condition. It features a brushed stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal case back and its protected octagonal crown set with the faceted blue spinel. It is a reference 3589 signed automatic calibre 1904-PS with quick date set, silvered guilloche dial with Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six, date aperture to three and blue steel hands.
This watch is fitted with an aftermarket black crocodile leather band. The case measures 34mm wide excluding crown and 44mm lug to lug and is presented with the Cartier Box.
